An annual festival, Rose Festival is also celebrated in Rose Garden in the month of February or March.
Named after a government official, Nek Chand’s Rock Garden is spread over 40 acres of Land and was started by him in 1957. The garden is completely built of the industrial and home waste. There are many things in Rock Garden such as interlinked waterfall and other sculptures which are made of all kind of wastes like glass, bangle, bottle, etc.
Sukhna Lake is another star attraction in Mohali which has a surface area of 3 km square and is 8 feet deep. The lake was created in 1958 and the stream to the lake is coming from Shivalik Hills. The lake was created by Le Corbusier and P L Verma, the Chief Engineer.
